FINAL GUEST COUNT
Final Guest Count, not subject to reduction, is due 8 days prior to your event date(s). If you need to increase your guest count, within 5 days of your event date, we will make every effort to accommodate your request. For the comfort of you and your guests and to ensure no embarrassment, please make sure your guest count is as accurate as possible.
SERVICE CHARGE
At Client’s discretion, any tip/or gratuity will go directly to the event staff.
TIMELINE
YOU MAY BE BILLED FOR ADDITIONAL STAFF HOURS if your event does not adhere to the agreed upon timeline.
CANCELLATION BY CLIENT
All prepayments and deposits are forfeited if you, the client, cancel the event at any time. We will apply the entire balance of your deposits and prepayments, towards another event occurring within 90 days of the original event date. Subject to our availability. All costs are subject to change.
CANCELLATION BY VENUE or ACTS OF GOD
All prepayments and deposits are forfeited if the event is cancelled by your venue or acts of God (i.e. fire, flood) that prevent us from performing your event as agreed. We will apply the entire balance of your deposits and prepayments, towards another event occurring within 90 days of the original event date, subject to our availability. All costs are subject to change.
RENTALS
We will provide an estimated cost list of rentals for your event. You may change/cancel those items at any time, however, certain items may incur RESTOCKING & CANCELLATION fees. If we are coordinating rentals, on your behalf, through a rental company, the Rental estimate will change with guest count and menu changes. The Client will be responsible for an increase in this estimate.
ALLERGIES
The Client is responsible for alerting the Caterer to any dietary restrictions or food allergies. We will make every attempt to make accommodations. However, you should be aware that our company does not work in a nut free kitchen and we cannot guarantee that our catering supplies and those brought in from other vendors are not contaminated with nuts, gluten etc. Therefore, the Caterer assumes no responsibility for ANY allergic reaction incurred by either the client or their guests.
LEFTOVERS
We provide generous portions for the number of confirmed guests. But due to strict food safety codes leftovers are at the discretion of Slavin in the Kitchen Catering. However, we work with the Glean Team of Harvard MA to donate any prepared food not wanted by the client and that would otherwise go to waste to area shelters.

Planning Your Event
Call us at 508-320-6994, or submit an inquiry on our website. We will work with your schedule to arrange the best time to meet and plan your function. If at all possible, we prefer to schedule a site visit to ensure a well planned and executed event.
You may want to consider a few points before we meet:
- What is your vision for the event?
- Do you have a budget?
- Will you be needing linens and China or would you prefer disposable plates and flatware?
- How many guests are you expecting?
Our Services
Slavin in the Kitchen event planning services are available for all business and social events and functions including weddings, corporate events, open houses, theme parties, private parties, barbecues and more.
Slavin in the Kitchen event planning services include coordination of rentals, event and table design, staging, staffing, lighting, floral design, photography, videography, music and entertainment. For many events we provide an on-site event coordinator to ensure a seamless event.
Tastings
We are happy to provide tastings for our clients so that you can determine the best menu for your event. A $100.00 tasting fee will be charged prior to your tasting. This fee will be applied to your deposit upon booking. Tastings are not guaranteed and are subject to availability.
Social Responsibility
At Slavin in the Kitchen we are committed to providing you with the highest quality ingredients. Whenever possible we work with our vendors to source local, fresh and organic ingredients. To that end, we may make minor changes to your menu to ensure that we provide you with the freshest available ingredients. Our company has a recycling and composting program and will offer biodegradable products at our customer’s request. We also donate leftover food to area shelters when appropriate.
